The State Government is adding support to human and social services stretched in disaster recovery situations.
The standing offer is relevant until 2020. Tenders close Monday 26 June 17.

| Disaster recovery is the coordinated process of supporting individuals and communities through emotional, social and physical wellbeing, the reconstruction of the physical infrastructure, restoration of the economy and the environment (Queensland State Disaster Management Plan).To expedite the purchase of these services, the department will establish a whole of Government Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA), for the provision of additional and specific human and social services relevant to community recovery. These services will operate in communities impacted by disaster events when existing capacity has been reached.
The SOA will commence on 1 October 2017 and expire on 30 September 2020, with two 12 month options to extend after September 2020. The SOA will be accessible by Local and State Government agencies for services delivered throughout all regions of Queensland.
