MOUNT STUART STREET

MOUNT STUART STREET

Client:

James Cook University

Project Overview:

The project involved a 273m continuation of Mt Stuart Street and significant associated infrastructure works at James Cook University, Townsville.

The infrastructure works included relocating or extending several operation critical services including chilled water mains, HV mains, HV transformers and RMUs, fiber optic cables (including AARNET) and communications cables.  FortisEM provided Design Management, Contract Administration and Project/Design Management Services on this project.  Multidisciplinary engineering was completed by several consultants under the direction of FortisEM.

A significant portion of the works were comprised of infrastructure services which required working closing with the contractors and key stakeholders to ensure the project was delivered with no operational impact to the university.
