$515 million Haughton River Floodplain Upgrade project

The $515 million Haughton River Floodplain Upgrade project will upgrade a 14km section of highway across the floodplain, between Ayr and Townsville, including replacement of the narrow Haughton River Bridge.

 

$35 million Agripower Fertiliser Plant Upgrade Agripower is set to commence a $35 million plant upgrade to its Charters Towers fertiliser operation to increase its commercial production capacity.

The upgrade begins a $400 million investment boost over the next five years to increase production at the facility to several million tonnes per year.

Managing Director Peter Prentice will provide information about current and future work opportunities local businesses can tender for over the next five years.
