Queensland’s top civil projects honoured

The $135 million Townsville Ring Rd – Section 4 project has been named among the winners of the Queensland 2017 CCF Earth Awards.

The Civil Contractors Federation Queensland Earth Awards recognise excellence in civil construction including roads, bridges, railways, marine structures and utilities.

Seymour Whyte Constructions took out category 6 – for projects worth more than $75 million – for its work on the final stage of the 22km Townsville Ring Rd (pictured above in December 2016) as well as category 5 – projects worth $30 million- $75 million – for the Pacific Motorway- Coomera Exit 54 Interchange Upgrade.

BMD Group won category 4 for the Minnippi residential estate at Cannon Hill in Brisbane and Georgiou won category 3 for the $8.5 million Paradise Rd safety upgrade.

Category 2 – for projects valued at $1 million to $5 million – was taken out by Brady Marine and Civil for its work on the Rubyanna wastewater treatment plant river discharge facility at Bundaberg.

The winners will advance to contest the national CCF Earth Awards in Canberra on November 21.
