Cloncurry Shire Council appoints CEO

Cloncurry Shire Council has officially appointed David Bezuidenhout as the new chief executive officer.

Mayor Greg Campbell said Mr Bezuidenhout would join the council in early September.

“Formerly from a cattle stud in South Africa, David moved to Australia in 2006, he has a strong passion for rural communities and is looking forward to getting involved in the Cloncurry way of life,” Cr Campbell said

“David has more than 20 years’ experience as a legal practitioner, he also has a master’s degree in project management, is a Certified Practicing Project Director and a Graduate Company Director. I believe David will be an asset to Cloncurry and his qualifications will help to deliver essential services to the community.

“Council looks forward to welcoming David on board after finishing up his current role as Capital Projects Manager for the Gladstone Area Water Board.”
