Cloncurry Shire Council has officially appointed David Bezuidenhout as the new chief executive officer.
Mayor Greg Campbell said Mr Bezuidenhout would join the council in early September.
“Formerly from a cattle stud in South Africa, David moved to Australia in 2006, he has a strong passion for rural communities and is looking forward to getting involved in the Cloncurry way of life,” Cr Campbell said
“David has more than 20 years’ experience as a legal practitioner, he also has a master’s degree in project management, is a Certified Practicing Project Director and a Graduate Company Director. I believe David will be an asset to Cloncurry and his qualifications will help to deliver essential services to the community.
