Nominations have opened for the 2018 AIB Professional Excellence in Building Awards.

The AIB (Australian Institute of Building) awards recognise the individuals’ professional excellence in the building and construction process.

In past years, award recipients have included building and associated professionals who successfully overcame challenges to ensure the timely completion of projects on budget, introducing practical application of industry influenced research and protecting the integrity of original structures and facades.

Building professionals have been rewarded for their work on a number of projects ranging from international sporting arenas to complex residential developments and state-of-the-art medical facilities.

Chapter presentations will be held between May and July 2018. with all Chapter Professional Excellence Award winners going forward to be judged at the national level.

The national winners will be announced in Canberra, on September 7, 2018 at the National Arboretum.

Nominations and submissions are due by Friday, March 2.
